Gandaki Medical College (GMC) Pokhara

Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre (P) Ltd. (GMC) is a health education institution located in Kaski district, Nepal. It deals with as national priority industry for a medical college and teaching hospital. The project is founded on its own land and is purely Nepalese ownership.

The college owns about 204 ropanis of land which satisfy the mandatory requisites of the affiliating university and the professional council. The arrangement of infrastructures is made in compliance with the “Guidelines and Infrastructure Directions for Establishment and Operation of Private and Non-Government Health Institutions, 2070” published by Ministry of Health and Population, Government of Nepal.

The college will provide free tuition fees to ten (10%) percent of students nominated by Nepal Government. Gandaki Medical College proposes 900 bedded teaching hospital with all activity of clinical and medical facilities, thus providing excellent health care amenities. Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre Pvt. Ltd with 550 bed capacity located in Prithivi Chowk of Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolitan City-9. Additional 200 bed will be added within this year.

Eligibility Criteria

For the upcoming admission 2019, students seeking Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara admission Direct, may go through the college website to get a fair idea about last year's cut-off. For the ease of the applicants, the procedure below would help them get an idea about eligibility and qualifications regarding the admission process.

1. The student seeking medical college admission should have completed 17 years of age by the 31st of July of the ongoing admission year.
2. The students should have cleared the 10+2 examination with a minimum of 50% and above in

7. Students can apply for Admission to Direct Quota seats if they secure 50% and above in all subjects

The Management Quota Seat is reserved for those candidates who may have missed the last date for submission of the application or may have failed to secure the required percentage of marks.

For foreign students or Indian students coming from foreign bases, admission can be sought under the Gandaki Medical College, Pokhara NRI Quota Admission. Admissions to the medical college are also granted under the Payment Seat or Management Seat quota.
