Founded in 1937, Fujian Medical University is one of the earliest public undergraduate medical schools in China. The school is a "double first-class" construction university in Fujian Province with a comprehensive talent training system with a medical focus, multidisciplinary development, and a Fujian Provincial Health Talent Training Center, Medical Science Research Center and Medical and Health Service Center. According to the ranking of “ China's Best Medical University in 2019 ” by Shanghai Branch, our school ranks 17th in the country.

The school took to the streets, taijiang 2 campuses, planning covers an area of about 1500 acres. There are 21 colleges (departments) and 28 undergraduate majors, including 4 national-level speciality majors. There are more than 11,900 faculty and medical staff (including affiliated hospitals),and more than 16,000 full-time students. It has carried out multi-level and multi-angle exchanges and cooperation with more than 120 universities and research institutions at home and abroad.
