Rangpur Dental College, located in Rangpur, Bangladesh, is one of the leading institutions for dental education in the country. Affiliated with the University of Rajshahi and recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), the college offers a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) program designed to provide students with comprehensive theoretical knowledge and practical skills in dentistry.
In the year 1975 Dr. Md. Mofizuddin Sarker established a private clinic in Rangpur named Nazimuddin Poly Clinic, which was the first of its type in North Bengal. His dream was to establish a 250-bed hospital to provide health care services to the neglected people of the North zone of the country. After his death, to tribute to his dream, his family members and some other enthusiastic persons of Rangpur have established a 100-bed Doctors Community Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. in the year 2000, led by his deserving son Mr. Md. Nazmul Ahsan Sarker.
Then to meet the increasing demand of dental surgeons in the country and abroad, Rangpur Dental College started its noble journey as the first and only private dental college in north Bengal in 2001, under the management of Doctors Community Hospital (Pvt.) Ltd. In this dental college students from different districts of the country and neighboring countries like Nepal, India, and Maldives are being admitted. From last educational year seat capacity has been increased by the authority from 60 to 100 for the outstanding performance of this college in the country. In recognition of the performance, the Ministry of Health, Govt. of Bangladesh awarded Ranpur Dental College as “The Best Private Dental College”.
