All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Nagpur (AIIMS Nagpur) is one of India’s premier public medical institutes and part of the prestigious AIIMS group, which has been declared as an “Institute of National Importance” by an Act of Parliament, 1956. Established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna (PMSSY), AIIMS Nagpur was among the four AIIMS announced in the 2014–15 Union Budget.

The foundation stone of AIIMS Nagpur was laid on 14th April 2017 by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis, alongside Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari. Spread across 150 acres in MIHAN (Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur), the institute offers world-class education, healthcare services, and cutting-edge research facilities.

Currently, AIIMS Nagpur provides MBBS, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs, along with a 900+ bedded hospital offering comprehensive tertiary healthcare services to Maharashtra and beyond.
