NEET counselling 2020 - Directorate General of Health Sciences (DGHS) has released the schedule of NEET counselling 2020 for admissions to the All India Quota seats. NEET Counselling dates have been announced on mcc.nic.in and mentioned below. MCC has released the NEET 2020 counselling scheme on October 23, which detailed can be checked from below. NTA NEET counselling for the states has already started with Goa MBBS Admission, Puducherry etc. NEET UG counselling registrations will start from October 27 on the official website mcc.nic.in for NEET UG qualified candidates. Ahead of the commencement of NEET counselling 2020, MCC has released an official notice for aspirants who have earlier applied under Indian/Others category but now wanting to apply under NRI Quota or may change their status to that of NRI. The details regarding the same for NEET 2020 counselling has been mentioned below. The NEET counselling process is separate for All India quota and state quota. ❖ Know the NEET 2020 counselling scheme for 15% AIQ

Authorities will conduct two rounds of AIQ online counselling i.e. Round 1 & Round 2. All candidates who have qualified for All India Quota seats on the basis of their rank obtained in NEET UG result 2020, except the Union Territory of J&K will be eligible. The rank letter/NEET 2020 result can be downloaded from the NTA website, ntaresults.nic.in. The NEET cutoff rank of eligible candidates will also be available on the MCC website (www.mcc.nic.in). The seats remaining vacant after round 2 NEET 2020 counselling of AIQ shall be sent back to the respective states.

NEET 2020 counselling scheme

Particular Details
100% Deemed University
  • There will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by the respective Deemed Universities
AIIMS
  • There will be four rounds of counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round for 18 AIIMS.
  • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • The Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by AIIMS
ESIC
  • ESIC 15% seats would be allotted through All India Quota (Round one & two).
  • The remaining 85% seats shall be treated as state quota seats and will be open to all the candidates participating in the Mop-up Round.
Central University/institute
  • There will be four rounds of NEET 2020 counselling i.e. Round 1, Round 2 of AIQ and Mop-Up Round & Stray Vacancy Round.
  • Out of the four rounds, three rounds will be conducted online by MCC i.e. Round 1, Round 2 and Mop-Up Round.
  • Stray Vacancy round shall be conducted by the respective Central University/Institute.

AIQ - 15% of Govt Seats, 100% of Deemed and Central University seats, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMs and JIPMER seats

State Quota - 85% of Govt seats, 100% of private seats of the state

What is the eligibility criteria for NEET counselling 2020?

  • Only NEET 2020 qualified candidates are eligible to apply for NEET 2020 counselling.

  • Jammu and Kashmir candidates will not be eligible to participate in All India NEET counselling unless they give their assent.

  • Candidates who have registered on MCC website for NEET 2020 counselling

  • All NEET qualified candidates are eligible to participate in the AIQ counselling for Deemed Universities.


NEET Counselling 2020- Central University Eligibility Criteria

1) Delhi University (LHMC, UCMS, MAMC): - 15% seats for All India Quota & 85% institutional quota seats for candidates who have passed their 10+2 in Delhi.

2) Aligarh Muslim University (AMU):- 50% Institutional reservation for the AMU school candidates studying there for the last 3 years. Rest of the 50% of seats to All India candidates.

3) BHU:- Open to All India candidates

4) Faculty of Dentistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi: 3 BDS seats under the internal quota of JMI and 47 seats are open to All India quota candidates. Students who have passed their 10+ 2 from Jamia Schools can apply for internal quota.

5) VMMC & SJH: 15% seats for All India and rest as Institute Quota for students who have passed their 10+2 from Delhi.

NEET Counselling Process

The registration process for MCC counselling through NEET-UG will start in the last week of October for the AIQ seats. There are two rounds of counselling followed by mop-up round for Deemed/ Central Universities/Central Institutes. The step by step process is as follows
Step 1: Registration including payment

Step 2: Choice filling and locking for NEET 2020 counselling

Step 3: Seat allotment for round 1 and result publication

Step 4: Reporting at the Allotted Medical/Dental College (free entry/exit option available)

Step 5: Publication of net vacant seats for round 2

Step 6: Registration (not required for already registered candidates) & fresh choice filling for NEET counselling round 2

Step 7: Seat allotment round 2 (exit with forfeiture of security amount option available)

Step 8: Reporting at the Medical / Dental Colleges /Institutions against round 2 (candidates once joined the allotted seat are not allowed to vacate the seat).

Step by Step NEET 2020 Counselling Process in Detail

Step 1: Registration for NEET counselling - Qualified and eligible candidates must register at ww.mcc.nic.in. They must fill their NEET roll number, registration number, name, mother’s name, and date of birth. The next step is to pay the NEET counselling fee and security fee by Credit/Debit card or internet banking.

What are the documents for NEET counselling 2020?

  • ✔ NEET Admit Card

  • ✔ NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter

  • ✔ Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)

  • ✔ ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)
