1. Candidate must have secured at least 50% in aggregate in 10+2 or equivalent and have passed the National Board Entrance Examination of his/her home country or of Medical Education Commission, Nepal (MEC) before admission. Rules and regulations of Medical Education Commission of Nepal, Kathmandu University and Nepal Medical Council will be the final and utmost guideline for admission process.
2. The above fee structure is only applicable to the candidate who will pre book (depositing IRs. 10,00,000) before the notice of Medical Education Commission, Nepal (MEC). After the notice of MEC for entrance of MBBS, fee structure of MEC (approx. USD 75,000 to 80,000) will be applicable.
3. As the student and parent have studied and made decision for pre booking at KMC, pre booking amount IRs. 10,00,000 is non-refundable. The pre booking amount will be refunded only in case the candidate does not get admission due to the rules and regulation of Medical Education Commission, Nepal or KMC cancels the pre booking.

Kathmandu Medical College functions from two complexes - Duwakot Basic Sciences and Sinamangal Clinical Sciences. The KMC Teaching Hospital, located within the ring road and just near the airport, is in a position of easy access. Prof. Dr. Chanda Karki, a renowned Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in the country, former Departmental Head of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of the College, and the past President of the Nepal Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist (NESOG), is the Principal. Dr. Mukund Raj Joshi is the Director of the KMC Teaching Hospital. Several of our teaching staff have had considerable teaching experience in Medical Colleges in India and abroad.
Every student, before applying for admission into Kathmandu Medical College, must fulfil the following eligibility criteria for admission:
Academic Qualification: Candidates must have done their 10+2 examinations or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as major subjects. In addition, a candidate must secure at least 50% marks in these subjects.
NEET Requirement: For Indian aspirants to get into Kathmandu Medical College, they need to score valid NEET marks.
Age limit: The candidate should have completed the age of 17 years at the time of admission; there is no upper age limit.
MECEE-BL Registration: MECEE-BL (Medical Education Common Entrance Examination for Bachelor Level) is compulsory for admission to any medical course in Nepal, meaning all students, both Nepali and foreign, must register and take the exam to be eligible for admission to a medical program in the country; this is mandated by the Medical Education Commission (MEC) of Nepal.

Application Form Submission: Candidates shall fill in the application form MECEE-BL required documents like transcripts, NEET scorecards, and passport copies.
Document Verification: After submission of the documents, the said documents shall be verified by the college. Only verified candidates will progress further to the next stage.
Acceptance of Admission: After document verification, a letter of acceptance of admission will be sent to eligible candidates. One needs to convey acceptance by paying an initial fee.
Fee Payment: Students need to pay the demand for tuition and hostel fees as per the college guidelines within the stipulated period so as to claim one's seat in the college.
