About NEET UG 2025

The NEET 2025 exam will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) tentatively in the first week of May 2025 i.e. 4th May  2025. NEET 2025 is the biggest entrance exam for undergraduate medical courses. NEET 2025 will act as the gateway to admission to undergraduate medical, dental, nursing and other allied medical courses across India.

NEET UG 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The NEET 2025 eligibility criteria are, expected to remain the same as last year. The NEET eligibility criteria changed last year in terms of subjects studied in Class 11 and Class 12, and schooling. Take a look at the NEET eligibility criteria 2025 below.

  1. Candidates should have passed or scheduled to appear for the Class 12 Board exam or equivalent with Chemistry, Physics, Biology/Biotechnology and English subjects
  2. Candidates belonging to the General category should have secured a minimum of 50 percent aggregate and reserved category candidates should secure 45 percent (General-PWD) and 40 percent (SC, ST, OBC, Reserved PWD)
  3. Candidates must have attained, the age of 17 years at the time of admission or will attain the same by December 31, 2025. Accordingly, the minimum date of birth of candidates should be December 31, 2008.
  4. There is no upper age limit.
  5. Indian nationals/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) who wish to pursue MBBS/BDS from a foreign university also have to qualify for NEET 2025.
     

In terms of the changes introduced last year, candidates who have studied or are studying Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English as additional subjects are also considered eligible to appear for the exam. Moreover, candidates who have completed their schooling from Open Schools will also be eligible.

NEET UG 2025 Application Process

The NEET 2025 application forms will be released online, on the official website of the exam.

The step-by-step NEET application form procedure is given below.

  1. Visit the official website of NEET 2025 – neet.nta.nic.in or exams.nta.ac.in/NEET
  2. Click on the NEET 2025 Registration tab under the Latest News section
  3. Read the instructions carefully and click on the agreement checkbox
  4. Enter the mandatory details such as personal and contact details, and generate a password
  5. Verify the details by entering the OTP received on your mobile number and email address
  6. The registration credentials such as application number and password will be sent to candidates through email
  7. Login with the NEET 2025 registration credentials to complete the application form
  8. Fill in the mandatory details in each section such as personal, educational, medium of question paper, exam city preference, documents upload (photograph, signature, finger and thumb impressions, category certificate, etc.), and other information
  9. Pay the application fee in online mode with Credit/Debit Card, Net Banking and UPI.

NEET UG 2025 Question Paper

The NEET UG 2025 question paper will consist of 180 multiple-choice questions, divided equally between Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (45 questions each), with all questions being compulsory, and will be designed to test a candidate's understanding of the NEET syllabus across the three subjects; the exam duration is 3 hours (180 minutes).

NEET UG 2025 Mock Test

NEET UG 2025 mock tests are available on the official website of the National Testing Agency (NTA). These tests are designed to help students prepare for the NEET exam by simulating the actual exam environment.

NEET UG 2025 Admit Card

Neet 2025 admit card is the mandatory document to be carried to the exam center. NTA will release the NEET 2025 admit card in online mode only for the registered candidates, tentatively in the first week of May 2025, a couple of days before the exam date. Test takers will have to download it by logging into the exam website.

NEET UG 2025 Booking

NEET UG 2025 Exam Centers

NEET 2025 exam centers will be located in 552 cities across India and 14 cities outside India. Although last year the NEET exam cities was 557, the number has been reduced by five this year. However, the total number of NEET 2025 exam centers in cities at international locations has remained 14. The total number of cities where NEET 2025 exam will be conducted on May 4, 2025, is 566. The total number of NEET exam centres 2025 will be around 5,000.

NEET UG 2025 Result

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the NEET 2025 results by June 14, 2025. The results will be available online at nta.ac.in and neet.nta.nic.in

NEET UG 2025 Counselling

NEET 2025 counselling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to admit students to medical and dental colleges. The counselling process includes registration, course selection, and fee payment.

NEET 2025 counseling will be conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) across India, where candidates can choose their preferred medical and dental colleges based on their NEET rank, with the counseling process happening online through the official MCC website; there are no specific "centers" to physically visit for counseling, but you can access it from anywhere with an internet connection; you can choose colleges from both the All India Quota (AIQ) and state-level seats depending on your eligibility.
