Shahabuddin Medical College and Hospital is one of the forerunners among private medical colleges in Bangladesh. Shahabuddin Medical College is running MBBS course by taking approval from Govt. of Bangladesh; Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council and affiliated to University of Dhaka from 2003. Founder Chairman Alhaj. Mohammed Shahabuddin an eminent businessman and social reformer take initiative of forming this Medical College to serve the humanity.

The Govt. of Bangladesh is committed to providing adequate health services to the people according to social equity for which eligible, efficient, and competent doctors and other auxiliaries are required. Shahabuddin Medical College Campus

Shahabuddin Medical College has a well-organized modern campus located in Gulshan, which is the most prestigious and secure area of Dhaka city. The campus includes a College building and a Hospital building, both of which are 12 stories and hold all the attributes of modern architecture. The male Hostel building lies adjacent to the college building.

The college building holds the administrative wings along with the pre and para-clinical departments. The administrative wing comprises of office of the Chairman, Principal, and Vice-Principal along with other 
college administrative offices.

The college building also has Departments of Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, Forensic Medicine, Pharmacology & Therapeutics, Pathology, and Microbiology.

The college building also has a Library, Lecture Halls, Conference rooms, a CME unit, a Common room, a Prayer room, a Canteen, and one wing of the Female hostel.

The hospital building faces the college building and is equipped with all the facilities of a modern hospital. Shahabuddin Medical College Hospital is a 500-bed hospital and holds VIP Cabin, General 
Cabin, General wards, OPD (Patient Department), Emergency, ICU, CCU, NICU, Operation Theatres, Kidney dialysis unit, Physiotherapy unit, Pharmacy, Laboratory and Imaging unit.

The hospital building has all the departments of clinical subjects naming the Department of Medicine along with its allied subjects, the Department of Surgery along with its allied subjects, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Shahabuddin Medical College is eagerly awaiting the inauguration of its new campus at Gazipur. The new campus is built on 103 decimal area which contains a separate Academic building, Hospital building, and Male & Female hostel with all other modern facilities.
