Maharaja Krushna Chandra Gajapati Medical College and Hospital (MKCG MCH), Brahmapur, located in Ganjam, Odisha, is one of the largest and most prestigious government medical colleges in Odisha. Established in 1962 as a medical college and 1966 as a hospital, it was later renamed in honor of the late Maharaja of Parlakhemundi, Krushna Chandra Gajapati. Spread over a vast 162-acre campus, MKCG MCH is the largest campus among government medical colleges in Odisha, serving as both a top-tier teaching institution and a major referral hospital for Southern Odisha.
The institution also houses the first nursing college in Odisha, established in 1983, offering B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing, and a CHO (Community Health Officer) program introduced in 2019.
